You can use parts of speech as part of your query. For example, OLHO [j*] would find a two word string, composed of a form of ojo followed immediately by an adjective (click to try it).

Note: these are the older part of speech tags. Click on SEARCH / LIST / PART OF SPEECH to see newer, easier tags.

Probably the easiest way to use part of speech tags is by selecting them from the drop-down list (click on [POS] in the search form to show it).

The older part of speech tags may be composed of up to four elements (#1-4 below)-

1. The major part of speech (e.g. v = verb, pn = pronoun)
2. The minor part of speech (e.g. vp = present tense verb, pnd = demonstrative pronoun)
3. Morphological information (person, number, gender) (e.g. vp-1s = first person singular present tense verb digo, pnd-mp = masculine plural demonstrative pronoun estes)
4. The + indicates that there is a pre-posed or post-posed element (e.g. vp-1s+ digo-lhe; pnd-mp+ destes)

Two other notes-

1. For most part of speech queries, you can just use the "drop-down" list in the search form to the left, and it will insert the correct code for you.
2. You can use wildcards for the part of speech tag. For example, *nn-*fs = nn-fs, aj-nn-fs, nn-ms-fs, etc. while vp* = vp-1s, vp-3p, etc.
